As consumers, we fail to realize what it takes for the food we eat everyday to get to our local stores and mainly on our tables. We also fail to award these food production animals with the same empathy and compassion given to companion animals. We eat pigs, chickens and cows but we play with and give care to dogs and cats. Why are we as humans so subconsciously biased?
